Neo2 + audigy 2...not recognized..help please

Hello,

I can't seem to get my audigy 2 value card to be recognized by the mobo(MSI K8N Neo2 plat). It came on then dissappeared after next reboot. I cleared cmos, it showed up again and I tried to install drivers and got blue screened and it rebooted by itself. Windows found it again, I tried to load drivers again, I got blue screened and it rebooted by itself again.

I just did a fresh reinstall of winxp and moved the sound card to another slot...no dice! Anyone have any sugguestions on what to do next? I have bios 1.5(stock)

Tru this.Add/remove, then use driver cleaner, then shutdown, then remove card. Make sure onboard is disabled, boot up. Install creative driver without card in boxen. Shut down. Try slot 3. boot up.
