Unreal Engine 5 being shown off in this "pre-alpha" teaser from German startup Elysium Game Studio.

This is the evolution of a prototype that was shown during Gamescom 2021 called "Shadow of Conspiracy: Section 2."

the visuals don't look that great to me for a UE5 game...image looks very soft...maybe they are going for a particular art style

Why would anyone willingly buy this.

It looks like a janky as fuck asset flip that tries to hide behind egregious lens flares and everything being metal and wet.

Lol what he said
If it were a movie it would be directed by Uwe Bol

i love how you can tell the very instant it cuts into actual in engine footage because there's a six order of magnitude increase in shiny surfaces and lens flares

JJ Abrams would be proud.

On one hand it looks kind of cool.On the other hand it looks almost disgustingly derivative

what the fuck is even happening in this game

fighting robots on a space ship, drones in the arctic, fucking zombies in a crypt, stealth sections, cyberpunk sections

complete with pretty lady with mouth that seems slightly too large and mysterious gravely voiced stubble man with round blackout glasses

Mentions dreams, probably has to do with that. Seems like a mash up of too many ideas with a healthy dose of jank. Looks like this will be the next MindsEye. Hopefully not that bad, though the previous seem even more uninspired and less coherent.

Edit: Look at that take down right at the end of the video. And some of the voice acting... :ROFLMAO:

Damn, 2028?

I wonder how much of that trailer is even remotely close to gameplay, with 2+ years of development left :/
