ok if anyones ever seen a sup air ball field(paintball field) you will know that they is a mesh netting around it. what im asking is it possible to have the camera not focus on the mesh, ill give you guys some sample pics of what the mesh does to the pics.

well, youll either have to get as close to the net as possible so its not in focus.
Or get an slr with a longer lens and wide aperture, so your DOF is fairly shallow, and the netting wont be in focus when you are farther away.

As ambientZ said, just get as close as you can to the net. As in an inch away, perhaps, if not less. That will both help prevent your autofocus from picking up on the netting and blur the net enough that it will not be visible as anything other than a general dimness. That said, definitely play around. If it turns out that doesn't work for you that well, you don't want to have taken all of your photos that way!

Cant ya get onto the field?

You need a press pass at most tourneys and pure promotions are usally the only ones let on the fields now anyway.

heres the pics i got, wheni got up close it made the net way more visible, the further i got back the better. btw this is team regulatorz from louisiana. this is at warped sportz in ocean springs, Mississippi for the 7man tourney where they placed 3rd(bad reffing and 1 draw kept them from 1st)
photobucket auto rezied my pics from 1024x768 because they only allow 240kb per file

That would kind of depend on the tourny now wouldnt it ;-).

My local field has tournies all the time, i dont think they'd have issues with me being out there with a camera after a litle talking with them.

Teams might. I wouldn't want anyone except the other teams and the refs on the field. And I thought he was talking about big tourneys. Otherwise why not just go film walkons.
