jesus man....you guys are all hating on this kid coz he wants a new gfx card and is trying to think of a way of getting that...be that getting a job or asking his parents...what exactly does it have to do with you how he gets it?

Good luck getting the card you want. Be that via a job or asking your parents. Trust me, if your parents can afford it and its not biggie then they will not make a big deal out of it. If things are different and money is tighter then they will just say no. In which case a job is your way forward.

To all the guys having a go at Leright:

Quit your envy and jealousy. A lot of people around here dont seem to realise that $100 is not actually a lot of money in the grand scheme of things and there are A LOT of people out there who would spend that kinda money (and a lot more) without even thinking about it. Nor should they have to...its their money.

In short dont hate the game or the player just because you cant compete.

must be the "lol" part. many people i know hate using "IM" lingo, for some reason or another.

as for the post, i'm a big fan of more memory; not for the sake of "better performance," but for the sake of image quality. as the doom 3 release stated, you need 512mb to use "ultra" setting, 256 for "good", or 128 for "medium." well, i think i'll wait until they release 512mb version of these next gen cards before buying in, just so i can talk big and be a jerk about it. maybe i can even get envious people telling ME that i have no life and my priorities are mixed up and muttering something scathing about "kids these days." :D

You're not as bad as xSyzygy666x....who seems to use ellipsis....a lot....turning his whole post....into a horribly long and unstructured paragraph...without ever finishing a sentence....I wonder how he.....picked up that really really annoying habit...

w00t! I just went to Best Buy asking them if someone looked at my application and resume. They told me someone looked over it, and they will be calling me sometime next week for an interview. :D The position is for a computer technician job.

I think I am going to keep the 6800nu though. I've been playing some different games with it and I like it...it's a huge improvelemt over my old geforce ti4600.

I might invest in a couple 2600+ athlon mp processors though. :D I think D3 is multi-threaded, so if I had a couple faster processors (currently I only have dual 1600+ procs) my system will rock.

i dont think doom 3 uses dual processors at all dude...dont bother...
