I have been looking to build a new CAD machine and I think I have the rest of the machine built, just looking for a graphics card to round out the machine.

1700X
ASROCK AB350 MITX Mobo
16GB DDR4
250GB M/2 SSD
1TB WD Black Drive
Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ES215PC

I was thinking about one of the Radeon Pro WX 4100/5100 cards. I am just getting into doing 3D work so I am not going to go all out on one of the $1000+ cards, trying to keep it around $300-$400 Cheaper if I can get away with it.

Well, best of the mid-range would be around $330 for the Quadro P1000. Runner up probably the WX4100 at about $250.

Radeon WX5100 is around $550 which puts it a bit out of your budget.

Could also consider previous generation cards - the Quadro K2200/K1200 are Maxwell based, despite the model number, basically a GeForce GTX 750ti (K2200, full height) or GTX 750 (K1200, low profile). FirePro W5100 (full height) or W4300 (low profile) might be a good option too, they're same GPU as Radeon R7 360 with slightly slower clocks.

Quadro K2200/K1200's around $150, FirePro W5100 for about $170 these days.

I think one of the previous gen cards would do you pretty well, but you've got to keep an eye out for good deals on them. The BIN listings on ebay are usually priced higher than what actual auctions will go for, and at that point you'd be better off spending a little extra on a brand new card.

I don't like dealing with Ebay, just too many bad experiences in the past, so I'll go with a new card. I'll key an eye out for a 4100/5100 or a P1000, maybe I'll get lucky and someone will have them on sale here in the next month or so.
