Hey, my PSU fried on bootup this morning. and naturally i need a new one. I was looking into the BFG line of PSU's mainly because of the lifetime warranty. Does anyone know if these are good psu's? or could you recommend a psu. must be more than 500 watts, Does not have to be modular. Would like an 8 pin +5 volt mainboard connector.

Lifetime warranty means nothiung if the PSU in and of itself is crappy. I would rather have a very good solid PSU with a 3 yr warranty over a crappy PSU with a lifetime warranty!!

Keep an eye on the retailers w/ the lowest prices, and cross-check with sites like Resellerratings.
[edit] Oh, and agreed with the Corsair recommendations. They're not the cheapest PSUs out there, but worth it. Nothing but glowing reviews that I can ever recall seeing, and a 5 year warranty to boot.Granted, I have a CWT OEM'd XClio, but if I were in the market for some upgrades right now, I wouldn't hesitate w/ a Corsair (Seasonic) in the least.
