I have a small restaurant and I would like to have a restaurant website. No I don't have computer with IIS or Apache. So hosting my own server is not possible here. What are good domains or web hosting servers out there for less then 8$ a month?

I like to know if there are any free ones but I know they will have a lot of ads
 
e-rice.net is great if you don't mind having to do all the work yourself..
 
1and1 is cheap.

you get what you pay for.

I used e-rice.net for a website for a number of years and never had any problems.
 
I use Dreamhost but they cost $120 a year. Their custom backend is leaps and bounds past control panel. Their customer service has always responded within an hour with the fix already done or looking into it. Dreamhost has had some issues in the past but beyond that they are the best web host I've been within the past 5 years. You can always find coupons on the Internet for the first year.

Linode, Hostgator, Site5 (although the company was just sold to someone else) are some off the top of my head.

I host with GoDaddy for 4$ a month with 500GB of monthly bandwidth.
