I have a Nvidia 5900fx vivo and the uleade video studio 7 software that comes with it is very limited and not very stable.

The windows movie maker has some fair functionality but the big white stripe that it puts in the video from time to time is more than a little frustrating.

So I am looking to buy some good video capture and editing software that will alow me to use a variety of codecs. That can sense the "black frame" scene change in video and wont bantrupt me.

I am open to any experinced advice that anyone would be able to provide.
