I am planning to upgrade my CPU , right now i have Pentium D 920 2.8 CPU , since i have really strong VGA card ATI RADEON 1900XTX 512mb, almost all of my games are CPU limited and show poor FPS .

I was planning to go ahead and buy Pentium Extreme Edition 965 3.73Ghz Processor. I have never had experience with Extreme Edition Processors. Can anyone tell me how much different will it make with Extreme Edition in Games ?

I already have Asus i975X Mainboard.
Is this a good move ?

Hmm. 2.8 to 3.73 is a bit of a jump. Plus you would get HT support on the EE. I can't tell you if it would be worth it in games, but the EE is quite a bit more powerful than your 2.8GHz chip; I would expect some improvement.

Im willing to bet that 920 will hit 4Ghz or very close too it with stock vcore, maybe even on the stock cooler...

I would do that instead, if you are willing to OC.

a 2.8ghz netburst chip is... slow. I dont care if its dual core, only one of those is being used in games and its... slow.
