Need suggestions on monitors

I am not very good at picking monitors sens the last one I bout was 10 years ago and that it was a crtv or what ever.

I am looking for a LCD from new egg going up to 300-350 preferably lower than 300 but what ever is better 19"a and widescreen and I do do gaming my father is wanting me to buy a new monitor so hope that helps sens I am a newb when It comes to monitors.
