So I have the Dell 2209WA for general PC use and PC Gaming. It might even be ok for PC Blu Ray Watching, tho it's not full 1080P Res. It's also a perfect sample, no flaws with Pixels or anything, its low lag and fast, etc. So I will keep it for those duties.
What I need is a second monitor for extra real estate, one that displays PS3 720P with the correct aspect ratio, 1080P is a plus for Blu Ray watchin (but I am more concerned with PS3 gaming and extra real estate).
I see all this stuff on 120GHz TNs, New IPS screens, etc, I searched and read, but I decided I could use some help. Any Ideas on screens coming out this year that may fit what I am looking for? Traditionally, I'm an IPS guy, but I could consider another tech for a secondary display.
For Graphics, I own a 5850 XFX ATI card, and I would like to stick to digital connections. The Dell U2211H, Dell U2311H, NEC's 23" EIPS Screen, HP's Z series 24" EIPS are all out. The Dells use sideways backlighting which is not ideal in my mind (compared to my Dell 2209WA's more direct under the LCD backlighting set up), The NEC is not responsive enough compared to my Dell 2209WA and suffers from a few uniformity issues like the Dells (most likely due to the same backlighting issue, it uses the same screen), the HP does not display the PS3's aspect ratio correctly at any res from what I read.
So where do I go from here? What about those new 24" 120GHz pannels?
