Can someone suggest me a mediocre configuration for setting up a server, that will host a single website 24/7.

It doesn't have to be a latest generation Core i7 E series. What I am looking for a mediocre config for hosting a website. It is for one of my client who lives in UK

This is impossible to tell by this information, is it a high traffic site or what?

They have very good prices on Fujitsu servers and they work really well without any proprietary crap.

Thanks. Just like desktop, can server be assembled? If yes, can you suggest me a config for this?

Nope there won't be too much of traffic on that website, as he will use that website only for demo purpose. It is ASP.NET website, hosted in SQL Server 2008.

You mean if you customize it?
Currently no, if he just want something I'd go for the eBuyer offer. He/She/It can install additional hardware if need on the other hand. Note that there's no operating system included so that needs to be purchased separately.
