I'm currently about to upgrade my rig and was thinking of purchasing two lower model ssd's (Corsair 3 120gb) for raid-0 and storage space. However, I know you lose trim support going raid. Is it smarter to just get a faster performing drive (Corsair GT 90gb or 120gb) for the OS and get the Corsair 3 just for games for reliability?

Just bought 2 M4's , upgraded the firmware. They are fast and working just fine. I would avoid Sandforce for the time being since they are seriously lacking reliability.

Best option would be to get a Small Crucial M4 (64 or 128gb) for the OS and often accessed programs/games and get an mechanical drive 1 or 2tb for mass storage.

128 GB is probably the sweet spot right now, although 256 GB is becoming more affordable. I have a 64 GB SSD, and it's not quite big enough even as an application/boot drive with Windows 7.
I agree. I was having problems with my 64gb and staying under the 80% mark with Win7 and some games. Lineage II is like 13gb itself.
