Need some upgrade path help!

HI there, firstly I've used the search function and haven't found a good solid answer to what I'm wondering about. Let me explain.

I'm looking to upgrade the GPU in the system below and am very torn on what to do at the moment with the 7xxx HD cards launching supposedly sometime in February.

Gigabyte X58A-UD3R v2.0
Core i7 950 OC'd to 4 Ghz
Corsair HX-850 PSU
90GB Vertex 2 SSD
XFX Radeon HD6850 w/VF3000A Installed
Antec P183 Case

My concern is whether to add an additional HD6850 and run CF, or to replace the exhisting 6850 with something higher end? My main concern is the obnoxious noise levels of the 6850 which forced me to install the VF3000 on the first card. It makes no sense to add another 50 dollar cooler to a 125 dollar card.

I've got 600 to spend on a gpu, my gut is telling me to wait or purchase a MSI/Asus GTX580 with a good cooler from the get go. Any advice would be appreciated. My primary use for the machine is World of Warcraft and SWTOR @ 1920x1200 Resolution, not sure on how well CF is supported on those specific titles.

a quick google glimpse told me that SWTOR has lacking crossfire performance gains.

If you're spending 600 on a GPU, you should wait 8 days until the 7970 is released, and get it for the MSRP of 550 bucks.

Or even with that PSU, see if you can steal a 6990 or 580 off of the FS/FT forums.

+1. If you have that much to spend, you may as well buy the best single card that you can get, rather than CF two less powerful cards that won't be fully compatible with every game anyway.
