Just one quick question for you gentlemen, well, maybe it isn't that short. anyway, A friend of mine owns several "adult" stores and wants to keep track of inventory. He wants to be able to keep a record at each store and then have a way to send them back to his home office.I suggested that he keep a database at each store and then at the end of the day have an employee just e-mail him the files.

So my question is: is there a database program that allows data synchronization or something that would handle databackup on a master computer automatically?

I hope I have made my question clear (It is late and I havent had much sleep this weekend). As always any response is greatly appreciated.
 
In that situation I'd just be using a central server of some sort rather than trying to data synchronise. You can have a db at each site and another central db and dump and insert each day... but it's not the easiest way to go about it.

Central server if at all possible would probably work a lot better.
