I have a evga 680i board with a qx6700 processor. It is the system in my sig. I have been using two Corsair twinx 8500c5d kits with it. Every month or two I loose a stick of ram. After replacing 3 kits, motherboard, powersupply and processor. I am about ready to call the corsair memory the problem. I have seen reports of the same issue with other users. I dont know what else to do. So at this point I have decided to try other memory. Need opinions.

I have narrowed it down to 3 kits

Thoughts? Other Ideas?

If you have lost 3 consecutive kits of memory (regardless of brand) then memory is most likely not the issue. You may want to do a bit of Googling on your MOBO.

If I remember correctly aren't the evga 680i motherboard notorious for killing ram?

From what I understand, its a combo problem, the 680i board and high voltage memory causing the crystals in the memory to break down. Thats what corsair said. I thought the same thing after the second set, so I had the MB replaced. then the 3rd set died. EVGA refused to replace the board with anything other than the 680i. So I am stuck with it until I decide to dump them...shame too, I have 2 8800gtx cards that are awsome.
