well i got my watercooling setup fully operational last night.. now my next thing to tweak is the pump.. firstly i can't get the plug thru the back of my computer.. its to large to fit thru the holes (see pic below).. only thing i can see todo is cut the cord and rewire it.. or take the pump apart and see if i can detach it there.. any advice? also the pump is vibrating my entire case causing a rather loud hum.. what is the best way to stop that.. i have some foam under it now but its not enough.. thanks for any advice

You need to get a pump relay. That way your pump goes off and on with your comp. I've also seen where people will wire it directly into their power supply. That requires some modding but it's a very clean look when done. As far as your pump vibrating, you just need to get some more padding under it.

ive had better luck with rubber than foam for pump noise

got rubber on my mcp650 right now which is supposed to be pretty loud but its running nice and quiet

if you don't want the trouble/cost of a relay then just cut off the plug and rewire...you can get a new plug for about $1 at your local hardware store.....I'm running 4 W/C systems, 2 I cut the plug, 1 has a relay & the 4th has a 12v pump.
