I currently have two sets of logitech Z-2200's running through soundstorm. I run both sets of speakers out of the same jack Via a splitter.

My question is, is there a downside to using a splitter? And would I notice a huge difference upgrading to an Audigy 2 Zs, or is there a better card out there I should pick up that would allow me to run both sets off of separate jacks?
