need some info on upgrading..

currently these are my comp specs

GA-7VRXP mobo
xp2000+
512 mb pc2100 ram
ati radeon9800 pro
80 gb 7200 rpm hd
40x12x48 burner

assuming you had 300-400 dollars. what would you get and why? this will really help me out. thanks

Id propably get some new RAM, and possibly a new CPU, and then save the rest until something that I needed came out. Your RAM is really the only big downfall in your current system right now though.

more RAM never hurts, especially if you either do upgrade the cpu now or are planning on it.

should i get another chip of 512 mb pc2100? is that good enough for now?

I would recommend some higher speed ram, such as PC-3200(DDR400) or higher, and if you can get the Mushkin High Performance Black. Its about $280 for 1GB for PC-3500 @ the egg.
