Alright, so i just bought a 939 amd 64 3500 newcastle, epox 9nda3 motherboard, ati 9800 pro all-in-one-wonder, 2 x 512 kingston ddr333 non-ecc, stock heatsink. It keeps freezing or going through spells of extreme slowness. I think it could be the wirelesscard (d-link air-plus g dwl-g510), the os (win xp pro) or the power supply (austin dr-b450f 450w). when i had my epox 8adr3+ i the same problem with the wireless card. i got a linksys g and it went away. i already uninstalled the card, but did not unplau it. the problem persisted. i however have had problems with my power supply in the past after if it isnt properly shutdown through the os.
could it be that win xp pro is not as stable as win 64? i know nothing of this new os. i would like to know the benefits. should i get a new heatsink, and if so which one? i plan on ocing. should i get a new power supply even if mine was not the problem? what is the deal with the d-link? should i trash it? is there a problem with my ram? you guys may pick up on something i dont. i tried to give as much info as i could. i hope it helps you help me.
also i have a klipsch promedia ultra 5.1. is it dangerous to have the sub to close to my tower. it causes stuff to rattle on the walls in my room. that cant be good for my stuff in my tower.
