For the life of me.... is there a detailed tutorial online somewhere?

I can't seem to figure out any of the monitoring programs.... tried FahMon and Fahspy so far.

The only thing I have been able to do is look at my diskless boxen through my network, can't seem to figure out how to point one of the above programs at it.

Also, what is "Timered checkpoint triggered" ?

I seem to be getting a little frustrated..... and that is a rarity:p:mad::(

Thanks

Timered checkpoint is when the unit is making a point to return if it is interupted. It will try to resume from that point... I believe the default is every 15 minutes and appears to be how frequently yours is doing it. I usually change mine to 30 mins...no biggie though.

Thanks and thanks.

Another question: how many PPD do think this is worth? From previous experience and looking at the progress.... I would imagine this would crank out 1 45 point WU every 4 days... thats what it did with the graphical client. Not that I'm in it for the points, but I want to make sure there isn't any underlying problems.

I would think something is wrong if its only getting about 11-12PPD. You didn't mention what the box is, but I had a P3-550MHz that did twice that.

p4 2.4ghz/512 ddr 333

As you can see below, thats 2 weeks and 4 graphical clients running.....

Are you saying that you have 4 graphical clients running on a P4?

I think you ought to switch to 1 console client.

Nah, on 3 seperate P4's.

Anyhow, seems this one that is running diskless is good for about 110 PPD.

Do you think upping from 512mb of ram to 768mb would give an increase?

I would think if you can run diskless you have enough already. No disk means no swap, so you'd know if you didnt have enough.
