Hey guys. On the rig in my sig I have Sygate installed. Since I am on my college's residence network, things are real ugly here. I constantly get random portscans and trojan attacks from within the network.

The problem lies in another part of the network. IT in the university has provided every student with 500 mb network drive on their servers and I have mapped it to my computer. However, with the firewall on, I cannot access it and I have to disable Sygate to get it to work. I have tried allowing the IP address of the network drive on Sygate but it still does not work.

Anyone have any solutions?

In the advanced options there is a check box to allow network neighborhood traffic... ie browse other computers drives, save to them etc... you need to enable that to be able to work with the mapped drive. You only have to allow it to see others, unless you want to share too.. there is an option for each I believe.
