Need some help with next upgrade.

I am currently using this setup:
Abit BE7
Pentium 4 2.4B
512 MB Corsair XMS LL PC2700
WD 80 GB SE + WD 120 GB SE
nvidia geforce 4 ti4600

I was snooping around on newegg and configured this
MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum $139
AMD Athlon 64 3400+ $284
Kingston HyperX Dual Channel PC 3500 $295
Ati Radeon 9800 Pro 256 MB $270
WD Raptor 10000 rpm 74 GB $181
Total: $1,169
I have a few questions
1. Will this setup be a good overclocker?
2. Is the ram overkill? Can I go with a cheaper brand or PC3200 (taking into consideration that I want to OC)
3. What can I do to bring the price down without sacrificing too much?
4. Does this setup suck?
5. Thank You!

1. Not sure

2. i would get the 3200 speed ram. The difference in rams that high is very small, for me it is nonexistent. unless you are a mad overclocker, you are not going to notice any real world difference.

3. I would wait untill the 6600gt 256 agp in a few months. that will be better then the 9800 pro and only be $200. Shit, the x700xt might be better then then 6600gt. That will save you about $70. Also, get the 3200 ram to save you some $$, as well as maybe a amd64 3200+.

4. your set up as is will rock. personally, i would invest more money untill the gpu then the cpu/ram. Buying more expensive products in trying to OC the cpu will not return you as high gains as investing the money into a nicer (6800 GT) graphics card. The games of today and tommorrow will care more about your gpu then your cpu/ram/mobo set up. i would MUCH rather have my amdxp 2800+ with a geforce 6800GT then your amd64 3400+ with a 9800pro.
