Need some help with drivers.

Just got my X800XTPE in from someone off the forums. Anyhow, I tried to install the latest Omega drivers since I have heard such good things about them. Well they install and then reboot. Well after the reboot, it was like I had no drivers at all. So I uninstall and install the latest Cats (6.8). Now when I try to install those, I get the ( use a Standard VGA driver) error and it closes without installing. Try an older set of Cats, same thing.

Between each driver install/uninstall, I used Driver Cleaner so it would be a fresh install.

Specs:
P4 3.0@4.1Ghz
1gb Kingston HyperX
Abit IC7
ATi X800XTPE

No, it is an easy fix. Just uninstall any display adapter in the device manager, reboot. Use the hardware wizard and walk through it step by step. It will probably say that Windows could not find a compatable driver. Finish the wizard, then install the drivers. Windows loads a generic vga display adapter when the wizard completes allowing the ATI drivers to find the device. Shane I hope you have a good time with the card. Thanks again!

Yeah everything is running great now thanks to you. HEatware was left BTW.:D
