Hey guys, I have an old 2004 Bose Lifestyle DVD center thing... We got it for $3,000 back then and it came with the console, and the 5.1 Surround Sound. This surround sound produces excellent quality audio, and I'd really like to hook it up to my PC and get rid of these crappy logitech 5.1 surround sound PC speakers.

My problem is, there's no way to hook up the audio into the computer, as it uses some ethernet looking cord to plug into the subwoofer, and at the end (where you plug it into the console), is an 8-pin mini-din cord.

Now, I'll need a soundcard anyway, but I don't want to spend $200 for a soundcard... that's insane. So, can you guys help me either find;

1) A good sound card that has an 8-pin mini-din plug built into it

2) An adapter for an 8-pin mini-din plug that will work with a good sound card (either through s/pdif or analog, I'm not really sure, whatever works).


My budget is only $50, I know that sucks for finding this stuff, but I've already pushed my pockets to the limit with my new PC build. I've already spent over $2,000, and I really just don't have any more money to spend.

I couldn't find any mini-din 8 pin adapters anywhere.
