Need some help here

[Zodiac]

I've got a couple of problems:
1. I get no audio output to my speakers using the onboard audio on my Tforce 6100-939 mobo

2. onboard LAN doesn't seem to be working either, I disconnected the ethernet cable from my old computer and plugged it into my Qpack and when I run the Network Wizard it says "can't find your network hardware"

Any help would be appreciated.

Stupid question.........they're both enabled in BIOS and you did load the drivers for them right?

reinstall drivers and see if that helps

Onboard Audio:

Some motherboards have a set of jumpers that you have to change in order to route the sound to the jacks on the front of the case or out via the connector on the back. You might check that out.

I have the audio working now but am still having trouble connecting my Qpack to my network. Reinstalled drivers and onboard LAN is enabled in BIOS yet when I run network wizard it still says that it can't detect my network hardware.

try this. turn off computer and unplug modem power supply. wait a minute and plug power back into modem. start computer. if that doesnt work then go to start then click run. in the window type COMMAND. a black screened window will pop up. in that window type IPCONFIG/ALL. That should show your ip an gateway numbers. reboot and hopefully all is good!

LOL, I wasn't calling you stupid.

Sometimes the drivers CD will contain drivers for multiple mobos/chipsets from that manufacturer. Double-check to make sure you're installing the ones for your particular mobo.

Yes, I had them plugged into the right port. All I had to do was install the drivers and voila it worked. But the onboard LAN doesn't work. Gonna try disconnecting the ethernet cable and pulling the plug on my modem and see if that does the trick.

i had that problem before i sent my mobo back... here is how to fix it:
goto nvidia's website and download their newest nforce drivers, extract the files into a folder, then go into device manager and ffnd your ethernet controller, and click choose from a specific location and force it to use that driver in the lan folder... it was weird b/c it wouldn't recognize it by itself but it worked fine for me afterwards...

Well, right now the ethernet controller doesn''t even show up in the device manager but I'll give this a shot. I think I'm going to have to send it back to New Egg though.
