Hello, I am having a problem with my new build.

Hardware in system:

ASUS P7P55D-E Pro
G.SKILL F3-10666CL7D-4GBRH Ripjaws PC3-10666 4GB 2X2GB x 2 for a total of 8 gigs
Intel Core i7 870 Quad Core Processor Lynnfield
Intel X25-V 40GB 2.5IN SATA2 (boot drive)
Western Digital WD20EARS Caviar Green 2TB - 3 of these in a raid 5
XFX Radeon HD 5850 Black Edition

Win7 Pro - 64 bit

When I load up Ventrilo or Team Speak 3 all is fine until I select connect, setup, etc. then it is like the whole system freezes for 10-15 seconds and then eventually comes back. Pressing CTRL-ALT-DLT will eventually get the Win7 screen up that allows you to select Task Manager. If you selected SETUP, once it does come up on the screen, even if you press "cancel" there is another huge pause and then it eventually closes...

Have tried with the on-board audio and have tried installing my old Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Value, same thing... Tried re-installing ventrilo, but I think it is something deeper down in the O/S....

Anyone have any suggestions?

You only notice this behavior with TeamSpeak3 and Ventrilo?
 
Yes, only with Ventrilo and TeamSpeak. Watching a movie in VLC, divx, etc is fine.

It just seems to affect Ventrilo and TeamSpeak.
