Need some help finding something (NAS related) please read

I have a client who has an older server with scsi drives, their main data drive is 16 gig and they don't want to spend the money for a new server at the moment. They are also going to be needing a lot more space in the near future.

I want to find a NAS enclosure that can hold 2 drives and do mirroring for a reasonable price. Has anyone seen such a device? The reason I would ilke the mirroring is because their backup system is also out of date and will come no where close to being able to backup over 20gig of data.

Want:
NAS Enclosure
Holds 2 drives
Offers mirroring
Price ... it'd be very nice if it was $2-500 w/o the drives.

What do you know?
 
mirroring (RAID) is not backup.

If the data gets corrupted, deleted or lost in any way, it is gone from both drives.

You need a separate backup method, one that will let you take the data off site in case of fire or flood.

there are lots of options for NAS.

I understand that, and their critical data is backed up. The data that will be stored on this device is replaceable and wouldn't be a huge loss if something like that happened. I'd prefer to have mirroring just in the event of a harddrive failure.

But it would end up costing more, and is not currently in stock.

One thing to realize though, is that you will have to setup permissions on any of these devices, if you want it to integrate with windows security, you would want one that uses Microsoft Windows Server Storage Edition.. that costs quite a bit more.

I have not used any of the above products, these are just what I found on newegg.

Off-siting the data to a seperate storage device is backup, however.
