Need some help figuring out how to make a unique setup work

I have a PC in my office that is connected to a DVI monitor and headphones. I use the audio from the Motherboard (Gigabyte G1.Sniper M5) for the headphones and speakers in the room.

I also have an HDMI cable run to a television in the bedroom. On this display, audio comes from the video card (Asus GTX 770) because there is no SPDIF input. This is problematic, and I can't figure out a way to fix this. Currently, if I want to use the display in the bedroom, I have to manually change which audio device is default in the control panel. Then change the default again if I return to the office.

Is there any way to have the audio output from the sound card on the motherboard (Creative Core3D) go to the HDMI display? I've found some dedicated A/V hardware that can inject audio separate audio into an HDMI cable, but I was hoping that there's some way to do this in Windows.
