Hi,

I was wondering if I could get some help in building my first computer. Since I am in Canada, I cannot use newegg so I will have to use tigerdirect.ca unless there is a better recommendation. Anyways, I do not know very much about all the required parts, just basic knowledge. I would like to be able to play all the newest released games so I will need a pretty good vid card. I don't really care if the system is Intel or AMD.

Your reccomendations would be greatly appreciated. Also, I don't really have a budget as of now, I will just look at your recommendations and go from there. Please tell me all necessary parts.

Thanks

Thanks for the help.

Which P4 chip would rival the AMD's you suggested?

How would a 6600 GT be instead of the 6800 because there is a major price difference?

Thanks

6800 series or X800 series video card
Definitly a Yes. Stick with AMD, unless you want to pay close to 1 grand for a P4.
Of course I'm refering to the Northwood Extreme Edition
