Im looking to buy this HS
http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16835186134
for my e6600, not oced.

I got a few questions first.

These are my current temps using speedfan at load.
CPU: 50+C
Core 0: 45C
Core 1: 45C

Idel
CPU: 41C
Core 0: 34C
Core 1: 34C

How much would this hs drop my temps by?
Is there a better HS choice around the same price that doesnt require removing the mobo to put on?

When im removing the old thermal paste should i take the cpu out of the socket?
Should i let the rubbing alchohol dry off or should i whipe the cpu down with a dry spot of the coffee filter.

Im mainly buying this hs because i want to be playing newer games like bioshock and crysis and they are going to be using the cpu more.
Are these games going to make my cpu temps go up, basicly im asking if its worth buying.

First off, get it from eWiz its much cheaper.

I think you'll see some improvements but not much. You will have a much quieter setup however. The rest, I'll leave for the cooling gurus to answer.

Well if your CPU is at 100% then the temps wont go any higher. I would get it because it should lower your temps and also make your computer quieter.

Here's your help:

www.ewiz.com

check if they sell what you need/want. What else do you need help with?

thats not wat i needed help with.

now my question is should i buy the artic freezer 7 or should i save up my money and get a better hs THAT DOES NOT REQUIRE REMOVING THE MOBO TO INSTALL. If there is a better option please post it.

Most of the higher end heatsinks require removing the mobo because of the shear weight of them. You can have push-pin, but I highly suggest not using it for those heavy coolers. Is there a reason why you don't want to remove your mobo?

lazy lol. im asking if their are any others that are push pin that arnt heavy enuff to need extra support.
do you think the artic freezer 7 with the fan at 100% will be a enough for crysis and bioshock?

my Thermalright Ultra-90 uses push pin and its kinda big but smaller than the 120. i think its a very good cooler and keeps my pentium D 820 oced to 3.5 at 43C compared to my old one that non oc it was idleing around 55C.
