I just changed MB's from Asus to DFI and I want to OC. This board has so many options available I am not sure where to start. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

skip the dram settings for now. What exactly do you need help with? LDT/CPU multi/vcore should all be simple stuff.

I just want to OC as much as possible. I cannot OC the FSB beyond 203 without stability problems, which concerns me. My FX is a Clawhammer and I have been told that they do not OC well...thoughts?
 
try setting the HTT/LDT link multiplier to 3x, then move ahead with FSB oc.
 
it won't do higher FSBs even with a 1:2 ram divider, and a 6x or 7x cpu multi?
 
that's probably your rams fault. Put the ram divider at 1:2 and cpu multiplier really low.

What happens when you go over 203? No post? Prime errors?

woah.... 2 CAS on 2 GB of ram no wonder it won't OC! Put the ram timings at 3-3-3 when you do this, it doesn't matter much with a 1:2 divider, but it will help when you put the divider back up to 1:1 or something.

Changed the timings to 3-3-3-8 and set the HTT to 210 and it appears to be running stable on Prime. Where should I set my multiplier and voltage settings?

CPU Volt 1.47
Multi 13
LDT 1.15
DRAM Volt 2.65

Now I am over 2.8....any suggestions?
 
Just slowly increase the HTT (by about 5mhz each time) until your computer messes up in a bench or something. Then record that HTT and try increasing the voltage by about .025, then start increasing again. Don't raise the voltage by more than .15v (but .15 overall increase should be ok).

If you can't get any higher when you increase the voltage, it's probably your memory.
Do you know how to set a RAM divider (sometimes seen in the BIOS as "ram frequency" or something with values of 200, 166, 133, and 100)?
The numbers are how the RAM speed corresponds to the stock HTT. 200:200, 166:200, 133:200, and 100:200. That's 1:1, 5:6, 2:3, and 1:2 respectively. Put it at 166mhz at this point, then see how high you can go. If you are satisfied, you can leave it at this. If not, then drop the divider to 133 and gogogo.

OK, I went down to 166 with a Multi of 12 and HTT of 233. Memeory timings are 3-3-3-8 and I havent changed the voltage on the CPU or DRAM. Currently running prime. CPU temp is fluctuating between 39-41. Thanks for the tips....keep them coming please!
 
don't change the CPU voltage until Prime95 gives you an error on your OC, move slow.

I am still stable after 26 minutes on prime, not long, but long enough. Next steps please.
BTW, how far can a FX-55 go on H20 cooling? Open question.
