hi :)

i'm getting my new pc soon:

Case: Antec Performance One P180
Psu: OCZ PowerStream 520W sli
Mobo: asus a8n-sli premium
GPU: Nvidia 7800GTX 512MB
CPU: Amd 64 4000+ san diego
Memory: OCZ EL DDR PC-4000 1024MB Gold Edition Dual Channel (2GB)
2 WDigital hard disks

Now, i want to overclock my cpu and maybe my memory and mobo.
what do i need for this? i want to be able to OC the 4000 san diego up to 2.8.
and i maybe need some better cooling for my case? i was thinking about the anctec freezer 64 for my CPU.

thanks!
:)

:edit: btw, i want my case cool and silent and no watercooling ;)

Well first 2 or more(if u handy with a dremel) case fans preferably 120mm and i would say if you dont want to go watercooling a Thermalright SI-120 and a good 120mm fan. BUt if you want to go watercooling it would have to be Swiftech H20-APEX.:)

Silverstone, Panaflow, and Vantec 120mm fans are quiet. Most Sunon fans I have seen are very loud.

vantec 120mm fans are NOT quiet....

Vantec tornados are pretty loud, but they cool really well. If you go with a big fan (especially vantec), I'd also reccomend a fan controller so that you can turn them up when gaming, down when idle.

True, but if you're overclocking that much you need a big fan to push a lot of air. I'd also suggest a really nice cooler for the chip.

Ok well. I recommend if your going to overlock and you dont mind noise. Then get a tornado my 92mm tornado pushes 119CFM at 56dba so pretty loud. But if you want something quieter get an AKASA 120mm fan they push 46 cfm at 18 dba!!!! thats one quiet fan. But no matter which one you get definately get a fan controller

Falsely rated. Thermaltake style, even.

Aye!
The SI-120 is what i will get for my CPU.
I want to OC it to 2.6 ghz but to be able to OC around 2.8, just to be safe.
But i'm still a bit confused about the fans btw.

So i need 2 or more fans in my P180? what is the best? i think i need a conclusion for what is the best fan to choose..
A very cool and silent Fan at once would be ideal!!! :D

TY :)

I suggest AKASA 120mm fan for case as they are quiet and really good. If your case can have 2 x 120mm on case then get that. And if you dont mind noise get a vantec tornado for cpu they have loads of airflow or you can get another quiet akasa
