I'm looking to build a new computer in the next week here and have everything picked out but the case.

This will be my first time building my own computer, so I need something that won't give me a great deal of trouble.

Other criterea: Window is a plus, can't be hideous, great airflow is a must since I can't afford water cooling, cost less than $200 would be nice, and possibly removable motherboard (depending on how much it helps).

Do removeable motherboard trays make it easier to get everything installed?

I have kinda been leaning towards the Thermaltake Soprano and Tsunami so far.

Suggest you check out the Chieftec cases, or if you're wanting to spend more, there's some nice sub-$150 Lian Li cases at Xoxide. Good online retailer, very careful double-boxing of cases the last time I ordered one from them. :)
 
I love my Tsunami. It doesn't have a removable motherboard tray, but it wasnt hard to install at all. Removing the HDD rack solves any installation problems.
 
I have never had any serious problems with Xoxide

I usually buy xoxide for budget builds. They have their flaws which usually constists of occasional sharp corners and a poorly threaded screw hole now and again. All in all I like them and I have set up rigs with 5 or 6 different models of xoxide cases.

Budget moved from $150 to $200.
 
Lian Li PC-V series, the v1000 and 1200 are close to your budget. A CM stacker would be nice to. Also check out the Gigabyte Aurora.

The Lian Li looks ok but is kinda pricy. The look of the Aurora doesn't really appeal to me for some reason.

Right up until you rip the the door off in a fit of rage and throw it through the window. Doors look nice, but they really get in the way every time you need to use the disk trays and the door is closed. I use black NEC DVD burners in cases like that and they are practically invisible next to the black bay covers.

(If you image all your game CDs, and never burn any disks, then you won't have the problem. Otherwise, the rage will come. :) )
