I'm building a new server based on a 1155 socket i3 processor and a Supermicro MBD-X9SCM-F-O board. I've tried using 3x AOC-SAS2LP-MV8 cards without success; always drops the drives attached under large data transfers. I will be using Flexraid and W2K8... I want to get better HBA cards. I was considering the Intel RES2SV240 expander with a JBOD controller, but the question is -- what controller? I've read good things about the IBM M1015 card, but what do you all recommend?
