I currently have in my possesion a unlocked 6950 and a 5970, should I sell the 5970 and get a 2nd 69XX card, or sell the 6950 and put some cash in my pocket?

Which will net me the best FPS @ High IQ running on a 1080P panel?

I am currently playing BF3, Skyrim and when I can Batman:AC

AMD 8120 @ 4.5ghz
16GB Ram
Crosshair V
920W Enermax PSU
 
Your better off with the 6950, all the game benchmarks peg it as the better card, not sure if crossfire is worthwhile or not, it helps, but with the newer cards around the corner, I would save the money for something better early next year (if the rumours hold any truth).
 
Ditch the 5970 and get a second 6950. Crossfire does work now. You just need the right game profiles.
 
Just got my D3 beta invite, should I go ahead and get a 2nd 6950? Or try it on the 5970?
 
I'd try it on a single 6950, and if you don't like the results, sell the 5970 and get a 2nd 6950.
 
The 6950 is definitely going to be better than the 5970. First I would just try the 6950 and see if you can play everything to your satisfaction. Then you could try unlocking the 6950 to the 6970 BIOS. If you still are not satisfied you could then try the 6950 CFX. What resolutions are you running at?
 
The card I have is already unlocked

1080P resolution, but I do like to run with as much eye candy turned on as possible
 
With that resolution, the single 6950 should be able to handle just about anything. The only thing that might give it some issues with everything turned on Ultra is BF3.
