Well I sold all my Dual P3 Server and Firewalls on egay and I sold off my Opteron 170 setup on the forums.
I will build this as a no-holds-barred media ripping/compressing work station since that is what I have been doing mostly of late using FAIRUSE (actualy uses 2 processors / cores ) and dvdfab and dvd shrink(Netflix is a bad thing )I figured i'd get through with this as my media ripping phase & double as a home server later until I can save up for a Core 2 Duo setup when I see more of a use for 2 cores and i get the $$. Anywho here's the specs:

Given what I have, what do you think would be the optimal setup for my drives? Kind of a Raid n00b but I am tempted in getting a third drive of the Seagate 320GB (~$94@newegg) and setup a Raid 0 array for boot and working the ripping / encoding. Then use the 2 500GB's and 3 180GB for storage. No real mission critical data here, have that all backed up externally
I Have a 150GB Raptor and my 7900GT set aside for my impending Core 2 Duo Build, but am open to suggestions.
Researching this a bit more I see that this card can attain speeds of throughput up to 200 Mbytes/sec when 4 drives are striped together?( I am guessing this is RAID 0). Kind of expensive and hard to beleive but those speeds seem amazing Perhaps this is with Raptors they attained this speed?
