My 19" CRT is finally going out and I am in need of a good but failry cheap 19" LCD, I am looking at or around 250-300 bux. I dont care about widescreen and I usually game at 1280x1024 so a 19 is good. It has to have DVI thats the only thing. I have looked at some Viewsonics, namely this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824116375 . The price is good but I am just wondering if anyone here has any experience with this monitor. Any other suggestions are welcome. Thanks for any help!!

hehe first post XD

anyways
I'm looking for a good monitor too I have supposely knocked it down to these but I don't really know yet

It's the same Viewsonic as posted already the 2MS
and this one
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824001066
which somewhere on this forum is a review by budwise

Also As for me I'm having a problem finding this "perfect" lcd for me but i have a feeling it's because i'm use to CRT that i never used an LCD before so i'm just having problems with selection >__> should just go and get one and if i don't like it just forget about it XD

Does everyone ignore the contrast ratio, the LG is friking sweeeeeeeeeeeeet 1400:1 plus 8ms to boot, so no bluring/ghosting, its simply an amazing moniter, sorry I just work in retail, and have been using the moniter at work and have fallen in love with it and recommend it to almost everyone looking for a 19", and it has DVI to boot as well!

Kind of changed my mind and ended up buying a 20.1" Viewsonic LCD, the VX2025. Should get it tomorrow.

This forum has a lot of support for the 2025, so that's likely the route I'm going, too. I don't really like widescreen for a lot of things, but it seems like it's the future (considering how many new LCD's and laptops use it now).

Yea, ive got the view sonic 2025wm. at first i also didnt like wide screen. till i hooked it up :p games are really the way they need to be. i popped a DVD in today with the nvidia dvd decoder. and it looks great. this monitor is still impressing me. im fully satisfied with my purchase :) So good choice! XHD is sweet!
