I need some recommendations for a wireless router that has firewall functionality. I will be using 2 machines with wired connections, and 1 or 2 more wirelessly.
I' like to run Tomato or DDWRT so I've been considering a Linksys WRT54, G, GS, GL etc. but I'm not sure of the differences between the G, GS and GL?? and then versions. I've read the new ones after version 5 aren't supported?
Another feature I would like to have but isn't really critical is a usb or firewire port for attaching network storage like Linksys's storage link, but then I read something that said it isn't supported by Tomato
I'd like something in the N standard if possible to future proof but not that big of a concern really.
What is the best choice today for a new router to run Tomato or DDWRT on?
