The fan on this guy is dying on me and I need a replacement. I am thinking I may try a better quality HSF to replace it as I am not too entirely impressed with the lapping on the block or the fact the fan is dying within 6 months.

This is what I have currently ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16835185114 )

I have an AMD 4000+ and an MSI Neo4 Platinum SLI board.

Criteria: Has to be quiet and has to use the stock mounts for the processor so that eliminates the XP90.

Ideas?

a zalman perhaps ?

Does the Zalman use the standard mounting clips for AMD processors? I would definetly give the 90mm one a shot then (the 120mm is too big for my board)

they don't use the standard backplate, but the one they provide is easy to install

Arctic Cooling Freezer64 Pro. The fan is better, and surface lustre isn't as important as flatness.
