I've been out of the computer building game for a while now and would like some suggestions for a new case. I currently have the Corsair 600T SE but the fan controller has died 5 times in the past year and i've replaced it so many times that its just too frustrating for me to replace it again. Thus, I need a new case. I've been considering the antec p280 since i had a p182 in the past, but any other suggestions welcome. My rig specs in my sig.

Edit: definately ok with a smaller case as well like Fractal Design but i'm not very familiar with it.

What about just getting a different fan controller? Unless you're just frustrated as hell with the thing. (Dying controllers that often makes me wonder if you're trying to put too much current through it or something...even if not, that sucks)

P280 is nice. It was on my list of contenders, but I went with a 650D instead. I think the 550D is a direct competitor to the P280.

Fractal has some nice cases. They look to be somewhat similar to the Antec, but have some styling details that I like better (front fascia, etc.)

FT-02 It's the best case I've ever owned. Well built, looks classy as hell, vertical orientation gets rid of all that nasty hot air out efficiently. If you want something more gamer looking, the Raven series is internally similar and stealth fighter looking on the outside.

Personally, i go for the simplicity in a case. And my 650d does all that for me. Its silent (aside from my jet engine card), easy to work with, great cable managment, the fan controller has lasted me a year and a half now, no problem. Also, its high quality and a corsair product. It looks sexy to. The ft-02 has a door problem that i think silverstone has yet to fix, but apart from that it is a sexy case and Classy. The 650d is a bit more classy in my mind though. Good luck! Also, fractal has some smexy cases too. No windows though :(

wait for the 900d
LL

if not ft02 is probably the best case on the market atm.

If I were to look for a new steel case I would definitely consider the NZXT Switch 810.

The ft-02 has a door problem

The FT02 has no door and therefore no door problem. ;)

Define R3 is a nice case. The Define R4 is updated and they fixed the few issues I have with the R3 (namely the retarded design of the removable dust filters in the front and bottom of the case which require removing 4 screws each and the fans themselves in order to clean them, unless you just vacuum them on the outside).

I would give the P280 a good look; I'm considering buying a P280 and selling my R3. I just don't know why they put dust filters all over the R3 but the only one easily removable is the PSU one. The HD cage is a 1 piece tower that is riveted in and not easily removable....that's another thing that irritates me about it. The rubber grommets around the cable management holes are also flimsy and cheap in the R3.
