Need recommendation on WMV video joiner with NO audio lag

I'm using Ultra Video Joiner, it works well w/ MP4 files. But for whatever reason, when it join WMV files, there is an audio lag.

What do you guys use on merging WMV files?

With Adobe Premier I never had problems.
But, why not convert the files first to mp4 and then merge them?
