There are so many SKUs for the Asus P8Z77 series, I need your opinions to make the right choice.

After doing some research, I think the P8Z77-LK is the right board for me.
Here is a list of things I want the the board to be able to support:
- SLI or CrossfireX
- 16GB ram suppport
- Overclocking

I dont need fancy features like onboard WiFi or RAID. It's basically a gaming rig which will be paired with 2 HD6950s. Do you think the P8Z77-LK is sufficient for the purpose? or do I need to buy higher models?

The major difference between the LK and V (and V-PRO) is the CPU PS capability (besides the number of USB, SATA ports etc).

If you plan on upgrading your CPU (eg 2500K, 3570K and above) and/or overclocking, then personally I would get the V as a minimum. The higher spec'd CPU PS will support more stable overclocking.

But it depends on if u intend upgrading your CPU and overclocking.

Personal opinion only - u will get different answers from many people.
But I the made the mistake of getting an el-cheapo Asrock MB for my prior build (AMD 965), and o/c capability was crap because of CPU PS.
Now I spend a bit more on the MB.
8GB memory is enuf for gaming - spend the difference on the MB.
