I need a quiet heat sink and fan for a Phenom II x4. Any suggestions? I need it to be super quiet!
Thanks so much!

$30 - Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus HSF for LGA 1366 and LGA 1156
Now, since it has a back plate, does that replace the black mounting bracket that the stock HSF attaches onto?.
Yes it does.
Too late. I'm done spending more money on my computer. I'm just going to live with it until I cant afford a new case all together.
Sorry about the HSF being too big for your case. Didn't think it was that big of a HSF.
Its big, but not excessive. What case?

It's no problem. I didn't think it would be too big either. I didn't even think to check. It's okay though, I have a mod in mind that will make it look good, and let me it the side panel on. Just gotta look into prices for parts!
I'd consider the 212 pretty excessive! Haha. I have an older Cooler Master Praetorian.
Its not excessive.. But your case is old and smallish given the 80mm fans it still has. If you have the cash to spend buy a CoolerMaster Haf 912 and you will end up with better cooling & quieter then your current case for about 60 bucks. Plus it will hold the hyper 212.
