I have a computer that I set up that has three 80mm fans installed that are quite effective but also very loud. I like the air flow even though it is no longer being used to overclock. I want to replace those fans with ones that are as silent as possible but with the best airflow that a near silent fan can produce. Please recommend fans that will meet this need.

Also, what is a good, but nearly silent, Athlon XP 3200+ CPU (air) cooler?

If you want LEDs :)D) go Coolermaster Neon Led Fan TLF-R82

If not, get some Panaflo's or Yate Loons

The case does not have a window so LED fans would likely be wasted. I am not opposed to using them if they are the best perfomance for the least sound generated though. Otherwise, is there a specific model Panaflo or Yate Loon I should look at?

if you want the quietest then go for Papst or Nexus fans. Since the Papst fan only blows 12 CFM, i would go for the Nexus fan with specs of 20 CFM and 17.6 db.

I have a couple SilenX fans, they blow like 26 CFM I think @ like 18 DbA

Look up thier site has the specs on them, they are quiet

They don't meet specification, as in, the ratings are optimistic. Avoid.

Panaflo L, you can still hear em, but good cfm/dba
or you can get some masscool fans (very cheap at newg in qty) and undervolt (these are very quiet when undervolted)

D

PS: btw svc.com has the panaflo L on sale
