It's been five years since my last build and I've lost a lot know-how.

any suggestions for psu's for this combo...also running a geforce 9500 gt and one dvd drive in addition to these components.

A 550W PSU is more then enough and will do the job.

I currently use the Antec BP550 and its a very good PSU for the money. You can pick one up from newegg for around $70 with free shipping (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371016&Tpk=bp550).

The Antec BP550 is a more budget-oriented version of the design used in the EA500, so you'd be better off with the Earthwatts.
