I am soon to get an mp3 player, and I need some portable ear phones for it. I was looking at the in-ear stuff like Shure E2c, is that still a good bet? Thanks for any guidance.

IEMs are going to be the best because of the isolation...it can eliminate the majority of background noise while simultaneously making it easier for them to produce sound (especially bass). On the other hand, something like Yuin earbuds is still very nice if you don't like shoving something in your ear canal.

Budget?
