Hello,

my current build is:
3770k (stock) on a sabertooth z77 mobo
780ti Classified (stock)

My options to upgrade to are:

A.)
6700k
GTX1080 classified x1

B.)
GTX1080 classified x2.

(Both options will be overclocked this time)

With the new build ill be running 3 1440p monitors but will only be using a single monitor for gaming. Would I need an up to date motherboard to SLI 1080's? is it worth upgrading to skylake from ivybridge?

you would probably be fine with your current cpu and mobo, just get a new gpu if the 780ti isn't giving you the performance you need.

for 1440 I would just stick with 1 gpu
Alright, thank you. I'm going to be switching to water cooling and move my computer to a different room so I don't boil alive during the summer. going to have to figure out how to neatly put cables through the wall without having to drill too big a hole.

I've used products like this before, work pretty well.
