I just bought a new computer for my mother. I have a dual core 2.8ghz itel pentium D. I need to get this a new video card. It has the PCI express. I was wondering if anyone had any good ideas for a good video card. I don't want to spend abunch of money but just something that is decent. Any help is appreciated.

Whats your price range? There are alot of good cards out there, but alot of variations in price and product.

If this computer is solely for your mother and she does not game, then I'd shoot for a low end ATI card (x300, x600, etc), but if you will be using it for gaming (or maybe your mom games :) ) then I'd recommend the 6800gs.. good price/performance ratio

This is going to be used for alot of gaming. When I am at her house I want to be able to play some games. I have my laptop with ATI x600 256mb but I like the Nvidia better. thanks

Well, if you're around two hundred dollars I would suggest a 6800GS. And since it's an Nvidia card, it's right up your alley. If you're on a tighter budget you could get a 6600GT for around $150 or less.
