Need New Power Supply

I came home today from work, turned my PC on and found out my PSU had failed me. Started smelling the wonderful electrical odor and unplugged it. I am using my
OCZ Gamexstream 700w from my old build until I get a new one. PC components are listen in my signature. Any good recommendations? Price isn't a huge deal, modular or not modular. I may overclock in the future but for now, staying stock speeds for video card and CPU.

RMA your Silencer and use the replacement. It's got plenty of power for your rig, so there's no need to buy a new unit when you can get a replacement for free.

Well the OCZ Gamexstream 700w is old, and I used the mail-in rebate for the PCP&C, so not sure I can RMA it.

Outstanding news, found out the original box was thrown away. Not by myself. Does that matter? Not having the original box? I guess I will just go buy a cosair

You don't need the box. Just call them up and ask them directly. It seems like you're just looking for a reason to buy a new PSU, but the fact is that you're still covered by the warranty and you can still get a replacement.

Well I just don't want another to crap out on me after 6months or so. I guess I am like that when parts fail me. I will call them up and see.

The Silencer 750W is a solid PSU. Bad units happen.
